Sunday 14th August 2022

Building on the success of previous years, the Flight Refuelling Amateur Radio Society is once again proud to host the most popular rally on the South coast.

Hamfest 2022:

Talk-In on 145.550MHz FM

We are expecting excellent weather for Sunday 14th August. Please be sure to pack sunscreen, a hat and whatever else you need for a beautiful sunny day. Water bottles can be filled on site behind FRARS HQ.

Please DO NOT bring dogs (except assistance dogs) and please do not leave dogs in the car under any circumstances.

Indoor and outdoor areas full of radio, computing, and electronics traders.

FRARS HQ will be open to the public with its outstanding facilities on display plus Clubs and Associations joining us to meet with the amateur community. We plan a Live Contest station operating, taking part in a 4mtr contest, in the FRARS clubhouse. We hope to have a Special Event Station GB2FRA running in the weeks before the big day.

This year we are joined by our on-site neighbours, The South Western Model Railway Club and also the Rifle Range, who are opening their doors to showcase their clubs too.

Entry fee to this fabulous event is just £4.00 per person. Parking is free and marshalled by our wonderful local Air Cadet volunteers.

Hamfest attracts traders from all over the UK, exhibiting items for amateur radio, computing, and electronics hobbyists, many under cover in our well appointed social club. For the smaller trader, Hamfest also operates a very popular car boot sale area.

Food and Drink.

Hamfest is located in the grounds of the Cobham Sports and Social Club, who provide a licensed bar as well as hot food and other refreshments. This year we will be joined by Jim Super Whips on the main field. Children’s play facilities are also on-site.

Please note no dogs are allowed on site except for assistance dogs.

Lecture stream and demonstrations presented throughout the day, open to all.
